We currently offer tuition on a range of instruments and would encourage any of our students to take up an instrument.

Many pupils come to Chailey already playing instruments (in fact over 1 in 5 of our students have instrumental lessons), but for the majority their musical experience stops at a little recorder playing in primary school. It is widely acknowledged that developing musical abilities can have a significant influence on all areas  of education. It can encourage creative problem solving, helps develop concentration and provides an outlet for emotional expression. It can also improve self-discipline and in many cases provide a positive boost to a child’s self-esteem.
